Responsibilities:

Established in January 2003, the Department of Critical Care Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University currently has 2 inpatient wards and 41 beds. It is an L1 clinical discipline integrating medicine, teaching, and research; a comprehensive treatment center for patients with acute and critical diseases in the whole hospital; and an emergency center for patients with acute and critical diseases in the north of Hangzhou. The department currently has 20 full-time physicians, including 8 with senior professional titles, 5 with intermediate professional titles, and 18 with master's degrees. It is a key supporting discipline at the hospital level.

Academic status:

The department integrates medicine, teaching, and research; has the qualification for conferring master's degree of clinical major in critical care medicine; is the national standardized training base for Resident Physicians. The department has won the Third Prize of Hangzhou Science and Technology Progress Award; carried out 5 scientific research projects in the past five years; and published more than 20 related papers, including more than 10 papers in national core journals.
