Responsibilities:
Established in the 1980s, it is one of the earlier emergency departments in Hangzhou. After nearly 30 years of construction and development, it currently sets up emergency rescue rooms, emergency care units, and emergency wards. It has 2 professors and chief physicians, 7 associate professors and associate chief physicians, more than 20 emergency specialists with extensive rescue experience, and a well-trained nursing team of more than 80 staff.
The department carries out various acute and critical treatment work and academic research on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including the monitoring of critically ill patients with ECPR, acute poisoning, multiple injuries and multiple organ injuries, and the rescue of acute myocardial infarction, cerebral stroke, respiratory failure, and heart failure. In the past 6 years, the emergency department has flourished and established a "five-in-one" treatment model of "pre-hospital first aid, in-hospital rescue, intensive care, rapid rehabilitation, and emergency ward", and it reaches the advanced level in Hangzhou with its emergency technology. It has implemented electronic informatization within the scope of emergency treatment; EICU is equipped with a central monitoring system, to realize the real-time informatization electronic management and treatment of critically ill patients; the annual number of emergency visits is 150,000, and the annual number of rescues is more than 5,000.
Academic status:
It is a master's degree training site of Hangzhou Normal University School of Medicine, a key supporting discipline of the hospital, a large-scale first aid and trauma treatment center in north Hangzhou, and the North Emergency Station of Hangzhou Emergency Center; it is currently the emergency specialist resident physician training base of the Ministry of Health that trains emergency physicians throughout China. In the past 10 years, it has undertaken a number of programs of Health Commission of Zhejiang Province and Health Commission of Hangzhou City, and won 1 Hangzhou Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 Health Commission of Zhejiang Province and 1 Health Commission of Hangzhou City Medical and Health Innovation Award; it has published more than 100 academic papers in journals at or above the provincial and municipal levels, including 5 SCI papers.
