Responsibilities:

It is a key discipline at the hospital level, and has 9 experts with senior professional titles, 12 doctors and masters. The department is well-equipped and can treat a wide range of diseases, basically covering the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic related diseases including: severe trauma of spines, extremities, joints and pelvis, fractures and complications; treatment of cervical and lumbar disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal tuberculosis, senile osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture, total spinal fracture and dislocation, spinal cord injury, DDD (degenerative disc disease), various spinal deformities and other spinal diseases; diagnosis and treatment of knee osteoarthritis, aseptic necrosis of femoral head and other joint diseases. It has performed such operations as transforaminal endoscopy, spinal endoscopic discectomy, percutaneous vertebroplasty, decompression, fusion and internal fixation of spinal stenosis, anterior cervical decompression with bone graft fusion, percutaneous pedicle screw fixation, stoppa approach internal fixation of pelvic fracture, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, meniscus repair, endoscopic meniscus removal and endoscopic cruciate ligament and collateral ligament repair, hip and knee artificial joint replacement, closed reduction and intramedullary nailing of long bone fractures of the extremities, and has extensive experience in traumatic fractures, spines, joints and other fields. It has performed nearly 2000 operations a year.

Academic status:

The department has undertaken several studies of Zhejiang and Hangzhou Medical Research Funds and has won Zhejiang and Hangzhou Health Science and Technology Progress Awards. In the past five years, it has implemented 5 scientific research programs.
