Responsibilities:

The Department of Neurology is a key discipline integrating clinical, rehabilitation, teaching and scientific research. There are more than 40 medical workers in the department, including 7 with a senior professional title and 5 with an intermediate professional title. With magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners, CT, transcranial Doppler (TCD), digital subtraction angiography (DSA) machines, neuronal electrophysiology testers, EEGs, video EEGs, dynamic EEGs and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation devices and other equipment, the department can meet the needs of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients. The scope of diagnosis and treatment:

1. Rescue of various cerebrovascular diseases (cerebral infarction, TIA, cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc.), thrombolytic therapy for ischemic stroke, and functional rehabilitation; bioelectrical therapy for stroke hemiplegia;

2. Diagnosis and treatment of various inflammatory diseases of the nervous system; muscle diseases; diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathy (mononeuropathy, polyneuropathy) and other diseases; air pressure wave therapy for peripheral vascular disease and hemiplegic lower extremity deep venous thrombosis;

3. Diagnosis and treatment of various movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, ADHD and degenerative diseases (motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, multiple system atrophy);

4. Diagnosis and treatment of primary and secondary epilepsy and other neurological diseases.

Academic status:

The department is a national standard training base for neurological resident physicians, conferring master's degrees in clinical neurology. The department has been recognized as a national clinical drug clinical trial base (GCP) in 2014 and has completed a multi-center GCP project. In addition, the first multi-center GCP trial in cooperation with foreign institutions and a number of domestic multi-center cooperative GCP projects will be carried out in the department.
