The Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Center is a key discipline in Hangzhou integrating clinical, teaching and scientific research, conferring master's degrees in clinical oncology. It is a demonstration ward for standardized treatment of cancer pain in Zhejiang Province.

The center is a provincial demonstration ward with national GCP qualification, with more than ten doctors and masters. It has obtained national natural funds and provincial funds for a number of major projects, With 4 invention patents and 20 SCI papers, the center is granted to set up a national continuing education training course on TCM oncology. Professor Huang Changxin is a discipline leader and provincial excellent oncologist in the center, He holds the following positions: a core expert of the Key Scientific Research Team for Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Tumors in Zhejiang Province" approved by the Provincial Party Committee; Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Specialized Committee of Biological Therapy for Tumors; a judge of National Natural Science Foundation. Li Yongqiang, as a Chief Physician and department head, has been engaged in the integrated therapy of tumors mainly based on radiotherapy for more than 24 years. He is proficient in intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and has won the third prize for medical achievements of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force. Now he holds the following positions: Member of the Specialized Committee of Oncotherapy with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine; Member of the Specialized Committee of Precision Radiotherapy, Zhejiang Society of Mathematical Medicine; Member of the Specialized Committee of Tumor Targeting and Cell Therapy, Zhejiang Anti-cancer Association; Member of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CSCO); Member of the Specialized Committee of Head and Neck Oncology, the Specialized Committee of Lung Cancer and the Specialized Committee of Supportive Tumor Therapy, Zhejiang Anti-cancer Association

The center has established a perfect process from tumor diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, carried out whole-process management for cancer patients, developed and performed standardized and individualized treatment including chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, radiotherapy, RF therapy, TCM therapy, immunotherapy, nutritional support and pain relief. The diagnosis and treatment level of the center is advanced in the province.

The main scope of diagnosis and treatment:

1. Brain tumors: glioma, brain metastases, medulloblastoma, lymphoma, ectopic germinoma, etc.

2. Head and neck tumors: nasopharyngeal cancer, laryngeal cancer, hypopharyngeal cancer, paranasal sinus cancer, NKT cell lymphoma, tongue cancer, tonsil cancer, unexplained cervical lymph node metastatic cancer, etc.;

3. Thoracic tumors: lung cancer, esophageal cancer, breast cancer, thymoma, etc.

4. Abdominal tumors: liver cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, etc.

5. Pelvic tumors: cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, testicular cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer and other urinary system tumors;

6. Metastases: lung metastases, bone metastases and malignant pleural and peritoneal effusion.
