Recently, the launch ceremony of the "Timely Stroke Prevention and Treatment" Area Network Development Program and the first training session took place successfully. The events were hosted by Zhejiang Medical Association, organized by Hangzhou Medical Association, and jointly undertaken by Gongshu District Health Bureau, Hangzhou Gongshu District Association for the Prevention and Treatment of Cardio-cerebrovascular Diseases, and the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University. These are part of their efforts to actively implement the Comprehensive Plan for Strengthening Stroke Prevention and Treatment and Reducing 1 Million New Disabilities Program issued by 10 departments such as the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Education, promote the development of stroke prevention and treatment areas, and build a comprehensive stroke prevention and treatment system.
The events were graced by the presence of Zheng Ningyi, Deputy Secretary-General of Zhejiang Medical Association, Cui Weiwu, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Hangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Zhu Jianqin, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Gongshu District Health Bureau, Liu Xingong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University, and Zhang Xingwei, President of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University and President of Gongshu District Association for the Prevention and Treatment of Cardio-cerebrovascular Diseases. Nearly 200 people including the Party secretaries and presidents of the community health service centers and the medical workers of the medical treatment alliance in Gongshu District attended physically, and the number of online attendees exceeded 3,000. The moderator was Wang Jinghua, Vice President of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University and Director of the Stroke Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University.

At the launch ceremony, Wang Jinghua, the project leader, introduced the current organizational structure and stroke-related diagnosis and treatment technologies at the Stroke Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University. She said that the hospital has a digital system with pre- and in-hospital integration, Gongshu District will be taken as a pilot area, and it is planned to explore a comprehensive stroke prevention and treatment system that features close cooperation of primary-level community hospitals, pre-hospital first aid, grade-A tertiary hospitals and rehabilitation institutions in three years, so as to realize the management of stroke prevention and treatment for the full life cycle.
