Recently, the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Finance jointly released the list of high-level health personnel cultivated in 2022. Wang Mingwei, Associate Chief Physician at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University, was selected as the "Candidate of Excellent Newcomer in Medicine" in Zhejiang Province in 2022.
Wang Mingwei, Doctor of Medicine, now serves as a supervisor of postgraduate, Associate Chief Physician at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Deputy Director of Hangzhou Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. Wang specializes in the interventional surgical treatment of difficult cardiovascular diseases, especially complex, acute or chronic occlusive coronary artery lesions. Being proficient in emergency percutaneous coronary balloon angioplasty, intra-coronary ultrasound, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, and intra-coronary thrombus aspiration, Wang has completed more than 2,000 operations for various coronary heart diseases. He has been in charge of nine research programs, published more than ten papers, including six on SCI journals, and obtained two invention patents. He is currently a member of the Professional Committee of Cardiovascular Medicine of Chinese Medicine Education Association and a reviewer of Anhui Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal and Plos One.
